ABOUT RAJEN AND SANGEETA

Rajen's company, Boardwalk Development Group, is a private equity, real estate investment firm focused on acquiring and developing properties in the booming self storage industry. Since starting BDG three years ago, the company has acquired and/or developed over $100M in self storage facilities. In 2015, Rajen sold his previous self storage portfolio to National Storage Affiliates (NYSE: NSA), a public self storage REIT, generating a 2.1X ROI.

Prior to that, Rajen co-founded and was managing director of a hedge fund. During his tenure the fund achieved returns of 107% in four years. Rajen holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Illinois, and an MBA with honors from the University of Southern California. He has served on several Boards, including the Georgia Self Storage Association, the Real Estate Investment Advisory Council, the Carter Center and is a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs. When he is not working, Rajen enjoys emceeing large group events, mountain biking, skiing and dancing. Sangeeta has worked for several years in the financial industry in the area of Compliance and Audit.

She has also spent a good part of her career as a wedding coordinator, decorator and designer. When she is not working, she loves cooking, entertaining, giving back to the community, and most of all, travelling with her family. Sangeeta has had several years of training in Bharatnatyam and Folk Dance.

She has been a dance instructor for over twenty years and has taken her groups to FOGANA competitions, where they have placed 1st for two consecutive years. Sangeeta's passion for creativity and dance and even greater passion for giving back to the community. Rajen and Sangeeta both have the same enthusiasm for living life to the fullest, spending time with their families and travelling the world. They have collectively travelled to over 50 countries!

They are always eager to learn and continuously challenge themselves to become better people. Rajen and Sangeeta are proud and blessed to have three talented, intelligent and compassionate children who also share their enthusiasm for learning, spending time with family and travel! Rajen and Sangeeta believe that it is their moral obligation to give back and contribute to their community in every way they can.
